MSME loan providers in India comparison by WeCredit

Finding an MSME loan is not just about locating the lender that advertises the lowest interest rate. A useful loan must also match why you need the money, how quickly you need it, what documents you have and whether you can offer collateral.

For example, a two-year-old GST-registered manufacturer seeking money for machinery is not in the same position as a six-month-old retailer who needs cash to buy festive inventory. They may need different lenders and different loan products.

Think of choosing an MSME loan like choosing a vehicle for your business. A small scooter may be affordable and quick for local deliveries, while a truck is better for carrying heavy stock. Calling either one the “best vehicle” without knowing the job would be misleading. MSME loans work the same way: the best option is the one suited to the job and affordable for your cash flow.

This guide compares 10 established banks and non-banking financial companies (NBFCs), explains where each may fit and shows how to compare the actual borrowing cost before applying.

Quick answer: Public-sector banks such as SBI, Bank of Baroda, PNB and Canara Bank may suit eligible businesses looking for bank-linked pricing or government-supported schemes. HDFC Bank, ICICI Bank and Axis Bank offer different conventional and collateral-free business facilities. Bajaj Finance, Tata Capital and Lendingkart may be useful when a business values an online journey or flexible unsecured options. There is no single best lender for every MSME.

Key Takeaways

  • Compare lenders according to your use of funds—not only the maximum loan amount.
  • An advertised starting rate is not a promised rate. Your final rate depends on the lender’s assessment of your business and credit profile.
  • A collateral-free loan can still require a personal guarantee, good cash flow and acceptable credit history.
  • CGTMSE does not lend money directly. It provides guarantee cover to eligible loans issued by member lending institutions.
  • Ask for the Key Facts Statement (KFS) and compare the annual percentage rate (APR), processing charges, insurance, late fees and foreclosure rules.
  • Avoid submitting many applications at once. Repeated credit enquiries can make a business appear financially stressed.

What Qualifies as an MSME in 2026?

India uses a combined investment-and-turnover test to classify micro, small and medium enterprises. The revised limits effective from 1 April 2025 are:

Enterprise categoryMaximum investment in plant, machinery or equipmentMaximum annual turnover
Micro₹2.5 crore₹10 crore
Small₹25 crore₹100 crore
Medium₹125 crore₹500 crore

A business must remain within both limits for its category. Udyam registration is available free of charge through the official Udyam Registration portal.

Do not pay an unofficial website merely to create an Udyam registration. Several MSME loan products ask for a valid Udyam Registration Number, so complete or update it before applying if the product requires it.

1. State Bank of India: For Established MSMEs With Financial Records

SBI offers several SME facilities rather than one universal MSME loan. Its digital SME Digi Sugam product provides a dropline overdraft from ₹1 lakh to ₹50 lakh for eligible established businesses.

Published eligibility includes a valid Udyam registration, GST registration, at least two years of business vintage and two years of income-tax returns. The business should also have sufficient GST data and no existing working-capital limit under the specified product conditions.

SBI also offers larger working-capital and asset-backed SME products. For example, its SME E-Smart Score covers eligible requirements above ₹10 lakh and up to ₹5 crore, subject to assessment.

May suit: An established GST-registered MSME that has clean tax filings and needs working capital.

May not suit: A brand-new enterprise or an applicant without the required GST and ITR history.

Check before applying: Whether you need an overdraft, a term loan or a secured facility. These products work differently and should not be compared only by their sanctioned amount.

2. Bank of Baroda: For Micro Loans and Digital GST-Based Funding

Bank of Baroda has different digital products for different loan sizes.

Its Digital Mudra Loan covers published requirements from ₹10,000 to ₹10 lakh. The product page states that it is collateral-free, can provide up to 60 months for a term loan and carries no processing or prepayment charge. Approval still depends on the bank’s eligibility and assessment.

For a larger operating business, bob Digi Udyam covers facilities above ₹10 lakh and up to ₹2 crore. It can support cash credit, overdraft, term loan, demand loan and certain non-fund-based requirements. The journey uses records such as Udyam, GST returns, bank statements and income-tax information.

May suit: A micro enterprise seeking a smaller loan or an operating MSME with organised GST and banking data.

May not suit: Someone expecting approval based only on an Udyam certificate. Registration proves MSME status; it does not prove repayment ability.

Check before applying: Whether the facility is working capital or a term loan, the annual review condition and any guarantee-related charges.

3. Punjab National Bank: For a Smaller Digital MSME Requirement

PNB’s Digi MSME Loan is designed for eligible micro and small enterprises with a valid Udyam registration. It is available as an overdraft or term loan.

PNB publishes a limit of up to ₹10 lakh under the standard route and up to ₹25 lakh when assessed through its specified credit-summation method. The term-loan tenure can extend up to seven years, including a moratorium of up to six months, while an overdraft is generally reviewed or renewed after 12 months.

The product is published as collateral-free under CGTMSE coverage. PNB lists no unified processing charge up to ₹50,000 and 0.30% plus GST above that amount under the current product page.

May suit: A sole proprietor or eligible micro/small business seeking a relatively small digital facility.

May not suit: A business needing a large loan or one unable to meet the operating-account or data conditions of the selected assessment route.

Check before applying: The current benchmark-linked interest rate, CGTMSE-related fee treatment and whether the overdraft or term-loan structure fits the need.

Official reference: PNB Digi MSME Loan

4. Canara Bank: For GST-Registered Working-Capital Needs

Canara Bank’s MSME range includes Canara eGST and Canara GST, but their collateral rules are not identical.

Canara eGST covers published working-capital limits above ₹1 lakh and up to ₹5 crore. The security requirement changes with the amount: smaller limits may qualify under guarantee coverage, while larger limits can require collateral or a hybrid structure.

Canara GST covers working-capital requirements above ₹10 lakh and up to ₹10 crore for eligible GST-registered units. Its current page states a collateral requirement of 75% and at least six months of GST operations. Canara Bank displayed an MSME starting rate of 8.25% when this article was verified, but a starting rate is not the rate every applicant will receive.

May suit: A GST-registered enterprise with regular turnover that needs a cash-credit or overdraft-style working-capital facility.

May not suit: A new unregistered operation or a borrower expecting the entire ₹10 crore Canara GST facility without security.

Check before applying: Applicable collateral, stock and receivables assessment, annual renewal requirements and the exact benchmark spread.

5. HDFC Bank: For an Unsecured Business Loan up to ₹75 Lakh

HDFC Bank publishes an unsecured business loan from ₹75,000 to ₹75 lakh, with tenure from 12 to 48 months. The referenced product does not require collateral.

Its published processing fee can be up to 2.5% of the loan amount, subject to a minimum and maximum under the product rules. The interest rate is profile-based, so the only meaningful comparison is the rate and APR in your own offer.

May suit: An established self-employed person or business seeking an unsecured term loan without pledging property.

May not suit: A business whose monthly cash flow cannot comfortably support a relatively short repayment period.

Check before applying: Processing fee, permitted end use, prepayment rules, total EMI burden and whether a secured bank facility would cost less.

6. ICICI Bank: For Eligible Guarantee-Backed Collateral-Free Credit

ICICI Bank’s published zero-collateral lending information explains that eligible manufacturing and service enterprises can be considered for guarantee-backed facilities up to ₹1 crore. For traders and retailers, its referenced FAQ mentions collateral-free finance up to ₹25 lakh without guarantee cover, subject to the bank’s conditions.

Available structures can include a term loan or working-capital facility. The final interest rate is based on the applicant’s profile.

May suit: An eligible manufacturing, service, retail or trading business that wants a bank facility without mortgaging property.

May not suit: An applicant who treats “zero collateral” as “zero checks.” The bank will still examine turnover, cash flow, credit history, documents and business stability.

Check before applying: Whether CGTMSE cover applies, whether a personal guarantee is required, the guarantee fee and the specific amount available to your type of business.

Official reference: ICICI Bank Zero Collateral Loan FAQs

7. Axis Bank: For CGTMSE-Backed or Hybrid MSME Funding

Axis Bank offers eligible MSMEs zero-collateral funding under CGTMSE arrangements. Its current page explains that guarantee cover can extend up to ₹10 crore under the scheme and that facilities may include term loans, working capital and trade-related credit.

Depending on the requirement and scheme, a hybrid structure may be possible, where part of the facility is secured and the remaining eligible portion receives guarantee cover.

May suit: An operating MSME with bank statements, tax records and financial statements that wants to explore guarantee-backed credit.

May not suit: A borrower who assumes a ₹10 crore guarantee ceiling means a ₹10 crore automatic loan. The lender independently decides the sanctioned amount.

Check before applying: The uncovered portion of the exposure, personal guarantee, CGTMSE fee, renewal terms and any collateral required under a hybrid structure.

8. Bajaj Finance: For an Unsecured Loan With a Longer Published Tenure Range

Bajaj Finance publishes unsecured business loans from ₹2 lakh to ₹80 lakh, with repayment tenure from 12 to 96 months. Its current advertised interest range is 14% to 23.5% per annum.

Published eligibility includes Indian citizenship, a self-employed business profile, at least three years of business vintage and a CIBIL score of 650 or above. Other checks still apply.

May suit: An established business that values an unsecured product and wants to examine a longer repayment period.

May not suit: A young business without three years of operations or a borrower focused exclusively on the lowest possible rate.

Check before applying: Processing charge, annualised rate, foreclosure charge and total interest across a long tenure. A smaller EMI over eight years can still result in a larger total repayment.

Official reference: Bajaj Finance Business Loan

9. Tata Capital: For Profitable Businesses Seeking up to ₹1 Crore

Tata Capital publishes unsecured business loans from ₹1 lakh to ₹1 crore, with the highest amount available in select cities. The tenure ranges from 12 to 60 months, and advertised rates start from 12% per annum.

Its published eligibility includes at least two years of business continuity with profits, a CIBIL score of 675 or above and supporting ITR, financial and bank records. The page also discloses processing, documentation and foreclosure or part-prepayment charges.

May suit: A profitable operating business with organised financial records and no desire to pledge collateral.

May not suit: A new or loss-making enterprise that cannot show the required continuity and repayment history.

Check before applying: Whether the maximum amount is available in your city, processing and documentation fees, foreclosure terms and the final personalised rate.

10. Lendingkart: For a Smaller Business Seeking an Online Application

Lendingkart publishes collateral-free business loans from ₹1 lakh to ₹50 lakh and rates starting from 13.5% per annum. Its page describes repayment periods of up to three years and a digital application process.

Published eligibility includes at least 12 months of operations, recent turnover evidence and 12 months of bank statements. Lendingkart says disbursal can occur within three days after approval, but actual timing depends on successful verification and banking processes.

May suit: A smaller operating business with bank-statement evidence that wants to explore an online unsecured loan.

May not suit: A pre-revenue startup or a business needing a long repayment period.

Check before applying: The personalised rate, APR, processing charge and repayment schedule. Where a lender’s general webpage contains differing fee descriptions, the KFS and sanction letter must take priority.

Bank, NBFC or Government-Backed Scheme: Which Route Is Better?

These are not mutually exclusive categories. A bank or NBFC may issue a loan that is supported by a government guarantee scheme.

RouteCommon advantageCommon limitationMay be useful when
Bank loanCan offer competitive pricing and working-capital productsMay require stronger records, longer assessment or collateral for some productsYour business has tax filings, banking history and time to complete checks
NBFC loanOften provides a digital application and flexible cash-flow assessmentThe rate and fees may be higher than a secured bank loanSpeed, convenience or unsecured access matters more than the lowest headline rate
Government-guarantee-supported loanCan reduce the lender’s need for conventional collateralIt is not a grant; eligibility, interest, fees and repayment still applyYour viable business lacks sufficient property security
Subsidised or targeted schemeMay support a particular group, sector or business stageConditions, margin contribution and permitted uses can be narrowYou genuinely match the scheme rather than applying only because it is labelled “government”

What Does CGTMSE Actually Do?

The Credit Guarantee Fund Trust for Micro and Small Enterprises, or CGTMSE, provides guarantee cover to eligible credit facilities issued by its member lending institutions. It does not give loans directly to business owners and does not appoint agents to arrange sanctions.

From 1 April 2025, the ceiling for guarantee coverage was increased from ₹5 crore to ₹10 crore per eligible borrower, subject to scheme rules. The guarantee can support eligible fund-based and non-fund-based facilities, including certain hybrid-security arrangements.

This does not mean every micro or small business is entitled to ₹10 crore. The lender must first assess the business and approve a suitable facility. A guarantee fee may also apply, and the lender may pay it or pass it to the borrower according to the arrangement.

If a person promises a “confirmed CGTMSE loan” in exchange for an advance payment, verify the claim directly with the lender. You can review the current framework on the official CGTMSE website.

Secured vs Collateral-Free MSME Loans

QuestionSecured loanCollateral-free loan
Is an asset pledged?Usually yes, such as property, deposits, machinery or another acceptable assetConventional collateral is not required under the product, though guarantees may still apply
Is approval easy? Not automatically; cash flow and credit checks still applyNot automatically; the lender relies more heavily on business strength and credit behaviour
Can the rate be lower? It may be lower because security reduces lender riskIt can be higher, especially for unsecured NBFC products
Can the loan amount be larger?Often possible when asset value and business cash flow support itThe amount depends heavily on turnover, banking history and guarantee/product limits
What is at risk after default? The lender may enforce security after following applicable law and procedureRecovery action, credit damage and enforcement of guarantees can still occur

Collateral-free does not mean consequence-free. Borrow only an amount your business can repay during an ordinary sales month—not only during your best month.

Match the Loan Type to the Business Problem

Before comparing lenders, define the exact use of the money.

Working-capital loan

Used for recurring operating needs such as inventory, supplier payments, wages and receivables gaps. Cash credit and overdraft facilities can be more suitable than a lump-sum term loan when the requirement rises and falls through the year.

Term loan

Paid as a fixed amount and repaid in instalments over a defined period. It may suit machinery, equipment, renovation or another one-time investment that will produce value over several years.

Machinery or equipment loan

Designed specifically to purchase productive assets. The machinery itself or other assets may form part of the security.

Invoice or receivables finance

Helps bridge the period between raising an invoice and receiving payment. It can be more logical than borrowing a multi-year term loan to cover a short payment delay.

MUDRA or other micro-enterprise loan

Can support eligible small non-corporate, non-farm income-generating activities. Limits and subcategories depend on current scheme and lender rules.

How to Compare the Real Cost of an MSME Loan

Do not compare only the rate printed in a banner. Ask each shortlisted lender for its Key Facts Statement and check:

  1. Annual percentage rate (APR): This expresses the annualised cost including interest and applicable charges covered by the disclosure.
  2. Interest method: Confirm whether the rate is fixed, floating or linked to a benchmark.
  3. Processing fee: A percentage fee can become substantial on a large loan.
  4. Guarantee and insurance costs: Ask whether CGTMSE fee, credit insurance or another cover is charged to you.
  5. Foreclosure or part-payment charge: Important if you expect to repay early.
  6. Late-payment and bounce charges: These matter when cash flow is uneven.
  7. Net amount received: A ₹10 lakh sanction may put less than ₹10 lakh in your account after upfront deductions.
  8. Total repayment: Multiply the EMI by the number of instalments, then add charges not already included.

A simple cost example

Suppose two lenders offer ₹10 lakh for 36 months:

OfferApproximate EMIApproximate total interest before fees
12% per annum₹33,214₹1,95,715
18% per annum₹36,152₹3,01,486

The higher-rate offer costs roughly ₹1.06 lakh more in interest before processing fees and taxes. These calculations are illustrative and assume a standard reducing-balance EMI with no change in rate.

A fast sanction can be valuable, but this example shows why “money today” should still be compared with “total money repaid.”

Common MSME Loan Eligibility Factors

Each lender uses its own policy, but common checks include:

  • Constitution of the business: proprietorship, partnership, LLP or company
  • Age and identity of owners, partners or directors
  • Business vintage
  • Udyam registration and MSME category
  • GST registration and return history, where applicable
  • Sales and profitability
  • Bank-account conduct and average balance
  • Existing EMIs, overdrafts and other obligations
  • Personal and business credit history
  • Industry, location and end use of funds
  • Collateral value, if security is required

A high turnover alone does not guarantee a loan. A business can sell ₹1 crore annually but still struggle to repay if margins are very thin, customers pay late or existing debt consumes most monthly cash flow.

Documents Usually Required

Prepare a clean digital folder containing:

  • PAN and identity/address proof of the applicant and key owners
  • Business PAN, incorporation or constitution documents
  • Udyam Registration Certificate
  • GST registration and returns, if applicable
  • Six to twelve months of bank statements, or longer if requested
  • Recent income-tax returns
  • Profit-and-loss statement and balance sheet
  • Details of existing loans and repayment schedules
  • Shop, factory or office ownership/tenancy proof
  • Machinery quotation, purchase order or projected use of funds for a term loan
  • Property or asset papers for a secured loan

Give the lender consistent information. Large differences between GST sales, bank credits and ITR turnover can trigger questions or rejection.

Can You Get an MSME Loan Without ITR?

Sometimes, but the choices are narrower.

A new micro enterprise may qualify for a scheme that uses a business plan, quotations, promoter contribution and other checks instead of years of tax returns. Some cash-flow-based lenders may assess GST data and bank statements. A secured facility may also give the lender additional comfort.

However, “loan without ITR” does not mean “loan without proof of income.” A legitimate lender still needs a reasonable basis to decide that the business can repay.

If your business should have filed returns but has not done so, speak to a qualified tax professional before applying. Do not create false sales, edited bank statements or fabricated returns.

What If Your CIBIL Score Is Low?

There is no universal minimum score for all MSME loans. Some lenders publish guideposts—for example, Bajaj Finance currently states 650 or above for its referenced product, while Tata Capital states 675 or above. Banks and other products may use different scorecards.

If your score is weak:

  1. Obtain your credit report and dispute factual errors.
  2. Clear overdue amounts or regularise them where possible.
  3. Reduce heavy utilisation on existing revolving credit.
  4. Avoid applying to many lenders during the same week.
  5. Prepare evidence of stable business cash flow.
  6. Consider a smaller amount or secured option if appropriate.
  7. Reapply after your repayment behaviour and records improve.

Be cautious of anyone guaranteeing approval despite defaults in exchange for an advance fee.

Why MSME Loan Applications Get Rejected

Common reasons include:

  • Business vintage below the product minimum
  • Irregular bank credits or frequent cheque/EMI returns
  • Insufficient profit or free cash flow after existing obligations
  • Overdue loans, settlements or recent delinquencies
  • Mismatch between GST returns, ITR and bank statements
  • Requested amount much larger than business turnover can support
  • Incomplete ownership, KYC or address documents
  • Restricted industry, service area or unsupported end use
  • Weak collateral title or valuation for a secured facility
  • Too many recent applications and credit enquiries

What to do after rejection

Ask the lender for the broad reason when it can be shared. Do not immediately send the same application to ten more lenders. Correct the underlying issue first—such as reducing the requested amount, completing tax records, resolving a bureau error or building a longer bank history.

Rejection from one lender does not prove that every product is unsuitable, but repeated applications without correcting the problem can make the next assessment harder.

A Practical Seven-Step Selection Process

  1. Write down the exact purpose. Separate inventory, machinery and debt-refinancing needs.
  2. Calculate the required amount. Borrow for the real gap, not simply the maximum advertised limit.
  3. Choose the facility type. Decide whether a term loan, cash credit, overdraft or receivables product matches the cash cycle.
  4. Check basic eligibility. Review business vintage, Udyam, GST, ITR, turnover, credit score and collateral conditions.
  5. Shortlist two or three regulated lenders. Use official websites or verified channels.
  6. Compare personalised KFS documents. Examine APR, fees, EMI, security, prepayment and total repayment.
  7. Stress-test the EMI. Check whether you could still pay during a month when sales fall by 20% or a major customer pays late.

You can also explore WeCredit’s Business Loan page after reviewing the eligibility and disclosure conditions. Using a facilitation platform does not replace the lender’s independent approval process.

Which Lender Is Best for Your Business? Four Examples

Example 1: A new tailoring unit needs ₹6 lakh

The owner may first examine an eligible MUDRA product such as Bank of Baroda’s Digital Mudra Loan rather than an unsecured product requiring two or three years of business vintage. Approval will still depend on the proposed activity, records and lender assessment.

Example 2: A two-year-old GST-registered wholesaler needs seasonal inventory

A working-capital product such as SBI SME Digi Sugam, bob Digi Udyam or Canara eGST may be more logical than a fixed personal-style business loan. The business should compare how interest is charged on the utilised amount and how often the limit is reviewed.

Example 3: A profitable consultancy needs ₹25 lakh without property collateral

The business could compare eligible bank guarantee-backed options with unsecured offers from HDFC Bank, Tata Capital or another suitable lender. It should compare the APR and total repayment—not assume the fastest offer is best.

Example 4: A manufacturer needs ₹3 crore for equipment and working capital

A larger bank term loan or secured working-capital arrangement may be more suitable than several small unsecured loans. CGTMSE or hybrid cover may be possible if the lender, borrower and facility meet the scheme conditions.

Red Flags to Avoid

  • A promise of guaranteed approval without assessment
  • A demand to pay an individual’s personal UPI account
  • A request for your OTP, UPI PIN, card PIN or net-banking password
  • An application downloaded from an unofficial link
  • A lender that will not provide a KFS or clear repayment schedule
  • Pressure to sign blank forms or hide an existing loan
  • An agent claiming to work directly for CGTMSE and guaranteeing funds

Check that the lender is a regulated bank or RBI-registered NBFC and confirm contact details through its official website.

Frequently Asked Questions

Which bank is best for an MSME loan in India?

There is no single best bank. SBI, Bank of Baroda, PNB and Canara Bank have different products for micro loans, digital facilities, working capital and larger secured requirements. The right choice depends on your amount, business vintage, documents, collateral and personalised APR.

Which lender offers the lowest MSME loan interest rate?

Advertised starting rates do not reveal what you will receive. Secured bank loans often price differently from unsecured loans, but credit risk, collateral, benchmark spreads and fees matter. Compare written KFS documents for the same amount and tenure.

Can a new business obtain an MSME loan?

Yes, some new enterprises may qualify under MUDRA or another targeted scheme, or through a lender willing to assess a business plan and promoter contribution. Many regular digital business loans require one to three years of operations, so do not apply until you check the product minimum.

Is Udyam registration compulsory for an MSME loan?

Not every business loan uses the same rule, but many MSME-specific and guarantee-backed products require a valid Udyam registration. Registration is free on the official government portal.

Can I get an MSME loan without collateral?

Yes. Several bank and NBFC products are collateral-free, and CGTMSE can support eligible lender-issued facilities. The lender will still assess credit history, cash flow and documents, and it may require a personal guarantee.

Does CGTMSE give loans directly?

No. CGTMSE provides guarantee cover to eligible loans issued by member lending institutions. Business owners apply to a bank or other eligible lender, not to CGTMSE for direct funding.

What is the current maximum CGTMSE guarantee ceiling?

The ceiling was increased to ₹10 crore per eligible borrower from 1 April 2025, subject to scheme rules. This is a guarantee ceiling—not an automatic loan entitlement.

Can I get an MSME loan without GST registration?

It depends on whether GST registration applies to your business and whether the selected product requires GST data. Some micro-enterprise schemes can assess other records, while GST-based digital products specifically require registration and return history.

Can I obtain an MSME loan without ITR?

Possibly under limited cash-flow-based, new-enterprise or secured routes, but the lender will still require reliable evidence of repayment capacity. Established-business products commonly ask for income-tax returns.

What CIBIL score is needed for an MSME loan?

There is no single minimum across lenders. Some unsecured lenders publish thresholds such as 650 or 675 for particular products, while banks may use broader internal scorecards. A higher score helps but does not replace sufficient cash flow.

Is a working-capital loan better than a term loan?

Working-capital facilities are generally better suited to recurring short-term gaps such as stock and receivables. Term loans are generally better for a defined purchase such as machinery. The right answer depends on how and when the borrowed money returns to the business.

How long does MSME loan approval take?

A pre-approved or fully digital small loan can be faster, while a large secured facility can take longer because of financial, legal and valuation checks. Treat “instant” or “three-day” messaging as an indicative possibility, not a guarantee.

Can a sole proprietor apply for an MSME loan?

Yes. Many MSME loan products accept sole proprietors, subject to KYC, business proof, Udyam, cash-flow and product-specific conditions.

Should I apply directly or through a loan platform?

Either route can be legitimate. Applying directly gives you a lender-owned journey; a platform may help you discover or facilitate options. In both cases, verify the actual lender, read the KFS and remember that only the lender can approve the loan.

Final Word

The best MSME lender is not necessarily the one showing the largest limit or the lowest starting rate. It is the lender offering the right facility, a manageable repayment schedule and a transparent total cost for your business situation.

Start by defining the need. Then compare two or three suitable lenders using their personalised KFS documents. If your records, credit score or cash flow are not ready, improving them before applying can be more valuable than chasing an “instant approval” claim.
